To study the appropriate techniques for rice-soybean production in non-tillage system, the techniques development for straw-mulch-sowing soybean were done at Lampang Agricultural Research and Training Centre along with the farmers' fields. The result showed that the suitable sequence of work was preparing the furrow lines, sowing soybean seed, cutting down the stubble, mulching and immediatly irrigating. After harvesting sowed the cover crops such as sunhemp for covering the field before rice season. The study on the techniques for controlling weeds in non-tillage system were done by using flooding and herbicide. The result showed that the application of herbicide at 30 days after sowing gave 561 kgs/rai higher than non-application herbicide (305 kgs/rai). Time for flooding was not significance, while the application of herbicide together with flooding gave the highest yield (640 kgs/rai).
