This study was carried out to determine heritability and correlation between seed yield and some characters of newly registered chickpea cultivars. The trials were arranged in randomised blocks designs with three replications for two years. Seven registered varieties of chickpea (Akcin-91, Aziziye-94, Izmir-92, Aydin-92, Menemen-92, Canitez -87 ve Damla-89) were grown at 5 locations (Ladik, Gerze, Tasova, Gokhoyuk and Bulduklu). The analysis of varience combined over two years and five environments indicated that variety, environment and genotype x environment x year interactions were highly significant on plant length, number of pod per plant, number of seed per plant, 1000 seed weight and seed yield. The seed yield of varieties varied between 62.15 and 120.84 kg/da. The highest seed yield was obtained from Aydin-92 and Damla-89. The highest yield was obtained from Gokhoyuk location. Positively and significant correlations were determined between seed yield and the number of seeds per plant, the number of seed per plant. It was established that heritabilities of 1000 seed weight, number of pod per plant, plant length and seed yield were 79 %, 63 %, 62 %, 58 % and 49 % respectively
