Foliar fertilizer may be applied to improve grain yield of both mungbean and soybean through improving flower and pod numbers. Presently, soybean growers also apply foliar fertilizers and other chemicals to obtain greater grain yield of soybean. Therefore, the experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of foliar fertilizers on grain yield of SJ4 soybean cultivar. The RCB design was used and replicated 4 times. Treatments were (1) control (non-treated) (T1), and application of, (2) 12-9-7 fertilizer at V7 and (10-52-17) at R1 (T2), (3) 12-9-7 fertilizer at V7+(10-52-17) at R1 and Wetong at R3 (T3), and (4) 12-9-7 fertilizer at V7+(0-52-34) at R1 and Weetong at R3 (T4). All fertilizers and Weetong were applied at the rate of 20 g/20 l water. This experiment was conducted at the National Corn and Sorghum Research Center, Amphoe Pakchong, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, during August-December 1997. Application of foliar fertilizers did not increased grain yield of soybean. Thus, foliar fertilizers is unnecessary for soybean production under the condition of this experiment.
