Biocides and fungicide application as seed treatment and treatment and spraying had a favorable effect on emergence, number of plants and health status of Phaseolus vulgaris L, Phaseolus coccineus and Pisum sativum. The highest emergence rate was noticed on plots sown with seed treated with Biosept 33 SL and the lowest one on control ones. Biosept 33 SL and Zaprawa Oxafun T were the most effective in germinating seeds, roots and stems protection against the attack of soil-borne fungi. The percentage of infected seedlings was the lowest in these combinations. Plants of investigated species were colonized mostly by Fusarium spp.(F. culmorum, F. oxysporum f.sp.phaseli lub F. oxysporum f.sp.pisi, F. solani), Alternaria alternata, Rhizoctonia solani and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum
