[Modern methods of express measurement of moisture content of agricultural materials]

The most frequently used express methods of measurement of moisture content of agricultural materials were analyzed. Influence of a number of factors which hampered the measuring precision was considered. The long-term efficiency of the express methods in the view of obtaining the maximum precision in moisture content measurements and the possibility of their application for the control and regulation of various technological processes of agricultural production was estimated. The main ultra-high-frequency methods of moisture metering as well as the laboratory and mass line devices of "Microradar" series produced according to the observed methods were analyzed. Results of experiments and calculations of dependence of attenuation coefficient and phase on the humidity for the some moisture containing materials were presented. Results of application of hydrometers in some technological processes of agricultural production were given. The comparative estimation of humidity control devices based on the microwave methods and practical recommendations on their application were presented
