Research results of study of the zoogeographical structure of beetles (Insecta, Coleoptera) of oligotrophic peat bogs of the Belarusian Lake district Poozerye were presented. Over the period of 1997-2004 in 12 oligotrophic peat bogs by means of standard zoological methods there were found beetles of 245 species from 29 families. The areal type was determined for all studied species. There were marked out five zoogeographical complexes. Species belonging to the western-central-palaearctic complex were the dominating ones among which the European-Siberian elements were characterized by the highest diversity. Quantity of western-palaearctic complex species was slightly lower. Research results of zonal characteristic of beetles inhabiting on the observed peat bogs showed that the population was formed by means of species belonging to the areal of Eurasian tajga
