[Results of studying of German maize hybrids productivity]

The crop capacity of corn's green mass, especially the dry matter accumulation in a plant, is substantially clarified by a right selection of hybrid's mixture. The study of new German hybrid's production showed that in Grodno region conditions it is possible to get 500 c/ha green mass and 180-200 c/ha of dry matter. The German hybrids are described by a good field germination rate at various weather conditions and a possibility rapidly increase vegetative mass after the beginning of good weather conditions. Thus in the conditions of podzolic and sandy soils of the North-West part of Belarus corn hybrids of KWS selection are distinguished by high field germination, optimum phase development for silage hybrids and the best of them provide the high yields of green mass content and dry matter harvesting
