In order to estimate production capability of soils formed over serpentine, especially in term of possible risks in high-quality fodder production, total and available content of essential (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, Co and B) and harmful (Pb, Ni, Cd, As and Hg) microelements in the soil have been investigated. The elevated content of total: Fe=4-6%; Mn=0.14-0.21%; Ni=0.12-0.28%; Cr=0.05-0.1% and Co=60-130 mg/kg, as well as available forms of: Fe=120-240 mg/kg and Ni=130-370 mg/kg have been found.
