The objective of this investigation has been to evaluate the biological value of soil under natural and planted grasslands on the basis of the presence of different groups of microorganisms and soil dehydrogenase activity. Microbiological and basic agrochemical soil properties have been analyzed for three locations in the vinicity of the town of Zajecar, Serbia (Serbia and Montenegro).
