The Fruska Gora is typical horst mountain located in the southern part of territory Pannonian depression. Complex geological structure and tectonics cause diverse and complex hydrogeological characteristics of this area. Triassic dolomites and limestones have significant surface occurrence on the south slopes of Fruska Gora, north from Jazak. It was concluded that in deeper parts of carbonates could exist very perspective aquifers with water of good quality and flow. Exploration well Jaz-1/H was drilled and tested in Jazacki Prnjavor in 1998. The results affirmed existence of complex fracture-karstic aquifer with high quality water that fulfills conditions required by domestic and European standards for bottling of natural mineral water. The large and detailed explorations were conducted to define all parameters of aquifer including drilling of another three wells, completion of Jaz-1/H with prochromium production casing, conducting step drawndown test and trail exploitation with continuous monitoring of water quality and regime of aquifer.
