On the influence of the contructional and exploitational parameters on the lifetime of the vehicle transmission elements

In this paper the influence of constructional and exploitational parameters on the lifetime (until the damage due to fatigue) of the vehicle transmission elements is given. Analysis of these influences on the whole working capability and on the necessary unit working capability of the elements is given. Character of the loads and fatigue of the basic transmission elements: gears, shafts and bearings as well as relationship between lifetime and reliability of the elements are given. In the conclusion of the paper the possibilities of the lifetime extension are indicated.
