The study describes the recent scientific results on the pathogenesis, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of equine Cushing's disease. Besides reviewing the literature, the authors present their examined and diagnosed own case. Equine Cushing's disease is more frequent than diagnosed. The disease is the consequence of the pituitary pars intermedia adenoma. Common clinical signs include hirsutism, weight loss, laminitis, polyuria, polydipsia and sweating.
