Genetic analysis of olive genotypes (Olea europaea L.) using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) [Jordan]

Inglés. Forty four olive genotypes grown in Jordan were analyzed using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) for identification and studying of the genetic relationships among them. All the examined genotypes were clearly identified using six primers (OPA-05, OPA-09, OPA-11, OPA-13. OPZ-11 and OPZ-13) out of forty primers tested. The total number of amplification products produced with these primers was 680 and the fragment size ranged between 300 to 1,600 hp. Primer OPZ-13 produced the highest number of bands (157), while primer OPA-13 generated the highest degree of polymorphism (59%) among genotypes. The similarity among the forty four genotypes ranged from 27 to 91%. DNA fingerprinting of olive genotypes by means of RAPD provided meaningful data, which can be extended by additional olive genotypes from the surrounding region and used for accurate intra-laboratory comparison

Italiano. [Quarantaquattro genotipi giordani di olivo sono stati analizzati utilizzando DNA polimorfico amplificato a caso (RAPD) per identificarli e studiarne le relazioni genetiche. Tutti i genotipi esaminati sono stati identificati chiaramente utilizzando sei primer (OPA-05, OPA-09. OPA-11, OPA-13, OPZ-11 e OPZ-13) dei quaranta saggiati. Il numero totale di prodotti di amplificazione prodotti con questi primer è stato di 680 e la dimensione dei frammenti variava da 300 a 1.600 bp. Il primer OPZ-13 ha prodotto il numero più alto di bande (157), mentre il primer OPA-13 ha generato il livello maggiore di polimorfismo (59%) fra i genotipi.
