GPS survey was conducted in order to check the safety of the landslide area. We measured observation points about ten times from 2000 to 2004 by the rapid static GPS survey. Differences in the position by GPS survey were small and ranged in about 5mJn-15mrn and the standard deviations were less than 10mm. The accuracy of the rapid static GPS survey is applicable enough to evaluate the safety of the landslide. We propose the GPS monitoring system to check the safety in the landside area where the landside mitigation works was already applied using GPS interferometry. The facilities of the landslide prevention works, especially drainage wells, are useful as the points of GPS survey. The network of GPS points is also applicable for the survey after huge disasters like the earthquake or heavy rainfall.
