Using blended peat and woody or herbaceous biomass, sulphur content of the fuel is increased and if the mixture is burned sulphates are formed instead of chlorides, and the risk of high temperature corrosion is avoided. For in-flow mixing, accurate feeding is necessary. In this paper the problem of a steady and measured feeding of chopped biomass is analyzed. Dependence of dosage accuracy on angular velocity of screw conveyer is stated for peat. At frequency from 2 to 7 revolutions per second, specific through put remains constant, which is a usage range for precise throughput control. To estimate vertical stress on feeder from above standing bulk material mathematical model was build. Vertical stress in opening of the silo hopper reaches 1.4 kPa if the diameter of silo is 0.4 m, but for the diameter 2 m it is possible obtain even 7.2 kPa.
