The influence of some meteorological factors, such as air temperature, magnitude of precipitation, real insulation, sum of solar energy as well as deficiency of humidity during the vegetation period on the starch concentration in early kind of potatoes has been analysed in the present study. Potato cultivation has been located on the fallow soil, according to rigorous experiments, during the period from 1993-00. The present study found that particular kinds of potato (Glada, Kolia, Maryna) exhibited different periods and magnitude of sensitivity on meteorological conditions. During the vegetation period, a significant influence of meteorological factors (mainly insulation and solar energy) on starch yield was observed in Glada potatoes, while the fastest accumulation rate was noted during August
