The analysis of slaughter value of Polish and Romanian horses

The results of research carried out in 240 Polish and Romanian horses proved that the dressing percentage of Polish cold-blooded horses, thickened and ennobled ones were the same and amounted to 59.2 percent, while dressing percentage of Romanian horses was lower by approximately 3 percent. Moreover, half-carcasses from the Romanian horses consist of less amount of class 1 meat, approximately by about 5 percent. In addition, it was stated that the thickness and mass of the neck fat are good indexes of half-carcass
