This research study classifies and measures the benefits of the "Water Well" project conducted by the USDA MAP. This research project analyzes the importance of water wells to villages, and reveals the agricultural and socio-economic benefits of families it served. The study compares the situations and socio-economic benefits of families it served. The study compares the situations in the villages, which both undertook or did not undertake the project. For this research an organized group visited those provinces where the wells operate, interviewed village heads and conducted in-depth surveys among the farmers. The group further recorded all the problems referring to the operation of the water wells. Data and financial analyses (e.g., NPV, IRR, Cost/Benefit Ratio) and a number of statistical tests were conducted. These included Hypothesis Testing, Two-Way ANOVA test, tests of Least Significant Difference and Correlation. The study revealed that the "Water Well" project is financially viable and it has some impact on job creation and immigration. Surveys also revealed how people use wells, whether the wells are efficient, and whether more wells are needed for that community. The study analyzed the need for tha continuation of such projects and revealed the utility rate of water wells.
