In greenhouse at Weed Science Group, pre-emergence herbicide application in ginger was applied immediately after planting, the randomized complete block design with 19 treatments and 3 replications were conducted. The highest yield were found in untreated check. There were no yield different from the treated pendimethalin, oxadiazon and trifluralin respectively at 200, 80 and 125 g ai respectively showed high yield. Field experiment was set up at Chiangrai Horticultural Research Center and designed in the randomized complete block. Experiment contained 8 treatments and 3 replications. Oxadiazon at 100 g ai/rai caused a high significant plant stand, ginger yield and weed control efficacy. Yield was decreased from oxyfluorfen at 48 g ai/rai, hand weeding at 3 and 6 weeks after planting, acetochlor and pendimethalin at 240 and 200 g ai/rai respectively. Hand weeding at 8 weeks after planting was highly weed infestation, it reduced the plant stand to zero. The experiment that foliar applied at 2 months old ginger showed that pendimethalin at 240 g ai/rai gave the highest yield. Untreated check, trifluralin, alachlor oxadiazon at 150, 270, 100 g ai/rai respectively yield were no different.
