Work reported here was undertaken to study the general morphology of chromosomes in male and female plant of Cycas. The chromosomes of young curly leaf of Cycas wadei were obtained to determine their karyotypes arrangement. The male and female plants indicated the same number of chromosomes (2n=2x=22) but slightly variation in chromosome morphology. In the female plant ten chromosomes of the somatics complement (pair IV, V, VI, VII and VIII) bore satellite, while in the male plant only one chromosome (pair IV) was found to bear satelite.
