Bio-indication of cadmium phytotoxicity of tomato plants depending on soil acidity
2006
Dinev, N. | Mitova, I. | Necheva, V.
The response of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill, cultivar Balka) plants, grown in three soils with different pH (7.9, 5.9 and 4.9) to different levels of cadmium(CD)in greenhouse experiment was investigated. The correlation coefficients among plant leaf nitrate content and enzyme activities as effected by soil pH and Cd concentrations were calculated. The concentration of Cd in plants correlated positively with the Cd levels in soil and potassium content in plant biomass.
