Slanev, S. | Nakev, J. | Stojkov, A. | Apostolov, A.
The study was carried out with three combinations of two-breed hybrid pigs: I group Danube White x British Landrace (DWxBL); II group Danube White x synthetic line Landrace (DWxL); III group synthetic line Landrace x British Duroc (LxBD), wich were fat from 35 to 100 kg live mass. Danube White as a maternal line was combined better with the British Landrace compared to the synthetic line Landrace. The total content of meat and bones in the carcass was respectively 77.24% (I group) and 73.27% (II group). The physical and chemical content of the meat of the studied combinations was in the optimal norms. The differences between the studied groups concerning the pH, meat colour, losses of weight at boiling and roasting and the muscle fibre diameter were not proved statistically.
