In 2001-2005 in S.N. Vyshelesskij Institute of Experimental Veterinary Medicine carried out research on development of inactivated vaccines against virus RRSS on the basis of domestic strain, allocated from aborted and deadborn pigs. At test of experimental model of a vaccine encouraging results - a titre of viruses counteractive antibodies have been received at introduction of a preparation with mineral oil Marcoll to pigs twice with an interval in 15 days, has made 1:29,1 in reaction of neutralization, - the coefficient of linkage of antibodies was equaled 1,707+0,06 at IFA method using, that does not concede on activity to a commercial vaccine. Preventive maintenance of RRSS in safe farms is based on prevention of virus infection. The observance of rules of quarantine of imported animals, zoohygienic and sanitary norms, the repair of young animals and sperm for artificial insemination is necessary for getting only in safe complexes on the given disease. In farms unsuccessful on RRSP the strict control over introduction of a new susceptible livestock in herd, by distribution of a virus to its areas is established, and adaptation and acclimatization of pig livestock with the purpose of formation of protective immunity is spent. Efficiency of strategy at which restrictive actions follow internal division of the infected and not infected animals was demonstrated. However at present any of strategies offered by scientists does not possess an opportunity effectively to eliminate a virus from a population of sows and pigs. For today large-scale fundamental research and experimental research on improvement available and development of new effective vaccines, schemes and ways of vaccination, strategy of preventive maintenance and measures of struggle against RRSS of pigs all over the world are being made
