Review of the correlation between the quantity of somatic cells and bacterial number of milk of healthy cows and cows sick with mastitis was presented. Content of the somatic cells in milk of cows sick with mastitis and evaluation of the chemical properties of milk were analyzed. Complex evaluation showed that the content of butterfat in milk of cows sick with the subclinical mastitis was lower in comparison with the milk butterfat of healthy cows on 10,4% (P0,05), content of whole protein – on 11,8% (P0,05), casein – on 13,4% (P0,01), lactose – on 9,9% (P0,05), dry matter – on 15,7% (P0,001) and the content of the somatic cells exceeded on 4,4-14,9 times. Milk density of healthy cows was within 1,028 deg A and milk density of cows sick with subclinical mastitis – 1,026 deg A, acidity – 17,66 deg T and 14,74 deg T accordingly, actual acidity (pH) – 6,64 and 6,85 accordingly. Research results proved that indices exercising influence on milk quality were low in milk of cows sick with subclinical mastitis
