[Biotronic – new premix for the increasing of vital capacity of milk calves]

Research results of the efficiency of milk calves feeding with Biotronic (Biomin, Ltd), the acidifier for animal feed, based on combination of synergistically acting organic acids and salts and its comparison with formic acid feeding were presented. Biotronic exercised positive effect on digestion system of calves and protective action against spoilage and harmful micro-organisms in feed and played an important role in the prevention of enteric diseases. Research results showed that indices of sickness rate, safe keeping and gain of live weight of calves fed with Biotronic did not essentially differ from the same indices of calves fed with formic acid. Difference in the quantity of bilirubin in blood serum was noted in the studied groups of calves of 30 days old age. Activity of aspartate and alanine aminotransferases, the level of creatine and gammaglutamyltransferases was the same in both groups. The level of thiobarbituric acid in the whole blood testified that the intensity of lipid peroxidation in both groups of studied animals was the same. The positive effect of Biotronic on hemopoiesis, exchange of proteins and carbohydrates was revealed
