Effects of different compound substrates on the growth and development of tray muskmelon seedlings

Chino. 以厚皮甜瓜品种西域1号为材料,利用72孔穴盘,以芦苇末、蛭石、珍珠岩、细河沙按照不同比例配制成复合基质,根据甜瓜幼苗生长发育特点,筛选厚皮甜瓜穴盘育苗的适宜复合基质.结果表明,不同复合基质对厚皮甜瓜穴盘苗的生长发育影响较大,以S3(芦苇末50%+蛭石25%+珍珠岩25%)效果最好,其容重为0.33gand#8226;cm. 3,总孔隙度为79.39%,通气孔隙为32.66%,持水孔隙为46.69%,大小孔隙比为0.70,pH为6.20,EC值为2.10msand#8226;cm. 1.该基质表现为幼苗生长健壮,生物量、根系活力、叶绿素含量、光合作用、气孔导度、硝酸还原酶活性等指标均最高,可推荐为厚皮甜瓜育苗的适宜基质。

The muskmelon variety “Xiyu 1” was used as a test material in order to get an appropriate compound substrate composed of reed residue, vermiculite, perlite and fine sand for the growth and development of muskmelon seedlings. The results showed that different formula compound substrates had significantly different effects on the growth and development of the tray muskmelon seedlings, and the compound substrate S3(50% reed residue + 25% vermiculite+ 25% perlite) was the best, whose bulk density was 0.33 gand#8226;cm. 3 , total porosity 79.39 %, air space 32.66 %, water holding pores 46.69 % ratio between large and small pores 0.70, pH 6.20 and EC 2.10 gand#8226;cm. 1 On the substrate S3 the seedlings grew vigorously, and the indexes such as biomass, root activity, chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance and nitratase activity were all the highest. And so the substrate could be recommended as a feasible substrate for muskmelon seedlings.
