On a yearly basis sales of dried meat products or simplier dried products is approaching 20 thousand tons. However, the rate of growth is slowing as more and more imported goods appear at the market. Polarisation of demand is also continuing: on the one hand, there is a strengthening trend of the category of premium products and on the other hand, the segment of cheaper products and - of course lesser quality - is also improving. If we compare the data of last two period of January-February in the case of the self-serving variant the average price has dropped from HUF 2223 in 2005 to HUF 2195 by 2006, while in the case of sized products from HUF 1962 to HUF 1834.
