One of important target in rice program is to introduce high yielding variety. By now, some high yielding varieties were released. In Iran acceptation of new variety depends on some factors. The most important is cooking quality. Local varieties have good marketing because of cooking and aroma. The farmers prefer to grow these varieties with low yield. It is necessary to introduce high yielding varieties were released. In Iran acceptation of new variety depends on some factors. The most important is cooking quality. Local varieties have good marketing because of cooking quality and aroma. The farmers prefer to grow these varieties with low yield. It is necessary to introduce high yield variety. They should have suitable cooking quality. It will be very important to select the parents for breeding program and to make hybridization base on predicated targets. The goals of this experiment were targeted selection and conduct the generations for purifying based on project goals. Selections were based on specific characters that in F2 some characters such as grain shape and semidwarf plant were considered. Therefore plants with semidwarf and good grain shape were selected. In F3 and F4 generations, plants were selected with phenotypic resistance to disease and pests. Finally in F5 generations were evaluated for quality then promising quality lines and to have suitable size of population, the severity of selection for each generation was 10 percent. In this basis with adoption of current breeding via methods such as pedigree, bulk and modified methods with using of existent variation in obtained generations from hybridization. At last, there were delivered 105 purified lines to quality project for next step of experiments.
