In this study in year 2001 the effect of Cadosafos (Rugby 1o G) Fenamiphos(Nemacur 1oG)and Aldicarb (Temik 10G)at concentrations of 2,4 and 8ppm a.i. (W/V)was investigated against sugar beet cyst nemtode(Heterodera schachtii) at transplanting time. The nematodes were obtained from a single cyst of infected field of Semirom area of Esfahan province. In one experiment a population of 60 eggs/g.soil was prepared in 5"plastic pots with steam sterilized soil and a 4 leaves sugar beet seedlings were planted in each pot. Also a similar experiment was done using an infected soil from Semirom with an average population of 27 eggs/g. soil the pots were kept in glasshouse with the average temperature of 21.3° c. In year 2002 the same nematicides were tested in an infected field in Semirom in a completely randomized block design with 4 replications. The growth factors, yield, number of nematodes in roots and soil were measured and data was analyzed using IRRISTATS program and cluster analysis. The results showed that except sugar beet yield in the field there was significant differences (p 0.o5)in all factors (tables 1,2,3).In the pot experiments the treatment with Fenamiphos at 8 ppm andCadusafos at 4ppm and Aldicarb at 2 ppm the nematode population was less than control (after 78 days )and the length of shoots and the weight of roots were more than untreated plants .The results of field experiment showed that in neither of treatments the nematode population (at harvest) was decreased and the reproductive rate was more than 1 (except in Fenamiphos at 8 ppm and Cadusafos at 2 ppm ).The yield of treated plots was at least 2400and at most 7900 t./ha more than the untreated plots (table 4) Using this nematicides in the field had no significant effect on the quality of sugar beet (table 5). By cluster analysis results it was showed that the treatments could be divided in 5 groups: 1 st the untreated2 nd Fenamiphos 2and4 ppm3 rd Fenamiphos 8 ppmandaldicarb 2 ppm4 th Cadusafos 2and4 ppm and 5 th Cadusafos ppm.
