Evaluation of technical and operation management problems of irrigation canals in Hamedan-Bahar plain
2004
Bahramloo, Reza
This research plan was performed to study of technical and operation managemen problems in operating canals in Hamedan-Bahar plain that included lining (concrete and stone) and unlining canals. To this porpose irrigation canals of 13 villages was studied and their problems was evaluated by completing forms , providing picture and slide.Because most of irrigation canals in selected villages had different linings, the convience efficiency(Ec) was measured in 18 section of canals. To determine of Ec in selected length of a canalinput and output value of discharges was measured. The value of discharge was measured in unlining canals with standard flums of WSC and in lining canals by using of spillway or flouting materials and section area. The results showed that the most important problems of irrigation canals content of: cracking and destruction of concrete linings, minor repairs and damage of gates, grow of weeds, lack of stilling basin, turn up sediments to canals and lands, arrival of sewage and sweepings to canals and disregard of canals limit. Also according to measurments the value of convience efficiency in irrigation canals with stony lining was the most from the others and that was determined 93.5%. this factor was 70.8% in concrete lining canals and 52.14% in unlining canals.
