This study was conducted with 20 winter and facultative promising bread wheat genotypes using RCBD with three replications in 2001/02 and 2002/03 cropping seasons. At anthesis and physiological maturity, plant samples were taken in all the stations and some components and sub- components of yield and hervest index were measured . Interaction effect of genotype ×year ×location was not significant for harvest index (HI), number of grain per spike (GNO), however was significant for thousand kernel weight (TKW) (P0.05). Ranges of values for HI, GNO and TKW were 41%-50%, 33-44 grain per spike and 36-47 grams, respectively. Correlation coefficients between grain yield (YLD) with biomass weight at anthesis (BWA) and pre-anthesis photoassimilate contribution to grain (PAPCG)were estimated – 0.53* and 0.52*, respectively. Correlation coefficients between GNO and TKW, and between BWA and PAPCG were estimated-0.49* and 0.57**, respectively.
