For improving the quality of city waste compost, an experiment have conducted on two kinds of fine (F1) and coarse (C1) immature compost, and their maturity indices before and after composting process were evaluated. The results showed that by prolonging the initial compost process, its temperature begun to increase. During the experiment the temp. of C1 treatment ware more than F1 According to solvita standard test the ratio of ammonium to nitrate in mature compost decreased considerably with respect to initial compost (Immature). Similarity, cress seeds germination percentage in mature compost were significantly higher than the initial compost, because of reduction of toxin material in it. With increasing the times of composting process, the CO2 emission declined and reached to the index ranges of mature compost. Finally, we concluded that if, with doing additional composting process for a few times, we are able to change an unfavorable compost to a desirable one. and#1633and#1634
