Assessment effects of different planting dates and seed density on sorghum (kimiya) in yazd climate

This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of different planting dates and seed density on yield of sorghum (kimiya cultivar) at yazd agricultural research station.A split design-factorial with randomized complete block with replicated 3 times was used , where 4 planting dates were used as main plots and seed density were used as sub plots (factorial )respectively.plant height, spike length and tiller number were recorded . planting date and seed density significantly affected all traits .it is concluded that 21 April planting date is the most suitable for the cultivar studied and environmental conditions of this experiment. Because of diferent fact there was no harvesting in first year and the plan functions have been stopped.
