This trial was conducted to determine of effect of different rates of potassium and Magnesium on the quality and quantity yield of Sugar beet at Mahidhast research station in Kermanshah Province in crop sesons2000-2002, that contains three level Magnesium(0,50and100 kg/ha as sulphate ) and three level Potassium (100, 150 and 200 kg/ha as sulphate) as factorial with three times in Randomaized Complete Block Design and treatments were as follows: 1-100 kg/ha potassium sulphate . 2-150 kg/ha potassium sulphate 3-200 kg/ha potassium sulphate 4-100 kg/ha potassium sulphate+50kg/ha Magnesium sulphate 5-150 kg/ha potassium sulphate+50kg/ha Magnesium sulphate 6-200kg/ha potassium sulphate+50kg/ha Magnesium sulphate 7-100 kg/ha potassium sulphate+100kg/ha Magnesium sulphate 8-150 kg/ha potassium sulphate+100kg/ha Magnesium sulphate 9-200kg/ha potassium sulphate+100kg/ha Magnesium sulphate The results revealed that the highest root yield was obtained with 150 kg/ha potassium sulphate and 100 kg/ha Magnesium sulphate application , 51ton /ha that increase yield was 5124 kg/ha, as well as factors as N, Na were decreased 0.8 and 0.38 meq/100gr root , respectively. Sugar percent , %WSC and purity were increased 0.78, 1.08 and 2.49 percent in comparied to contorl, respectively. so is recommened for sugar beet fields of Kermanshah province with soil classification of Fine Mixed Thermic Vertic Calcixerepts, 150 kg/ha potassium sulphate and 100 kg/ha Magnesium sulphate application.
