Probiotic preparation APB-Vet was registered in Latvia in 1997 to be used for animals. it contain up to 200-500 millions of live cells, propagated in the modified skim milk culture medium and then frozen (from -18 to -24 deg C), realization time 3 months for frozen form. The aim of the present study was to find out how lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus spp. preparation APB-Vet affects digestion and flora of small intestine of BALB/C mice, according to microbiological, pathological-anatomical and functional evaluation. Standard methods, developed on the base of ISO and those worked out in Latvia, which enable to evaluate the qualitative and quantitative indicators, are generally used for research.
