The life table budget of Apis mellifera was compared in three ecosystems in Laguna namely the Canlubang Industrial Estate; Bay, Laguna and the Makiling Forest Reserve representing the industrial, agricultural and forest ecosystems. One hundred eggs were monitored for 21 days for the survival of each life stage. Based on the life table data, the bees exhibited a Type 3 survivorship curve in all ecosystems. Egg mortality may have been due to extreme temperature and non-viability of the eggs. Larval mortality was due to infection with chalk brood and a low population density of adult bees. Pupal death is very low due to its protective covering. Adult mortality was not monitored.
