Spanish Red (SR) pineapple is best sources of fibers for pina cloth. The SR thrives over a wide range of soil and climatic conditions but the plant grows and produces best fiber in well drained soil and has a pH range of 4.5-5.5. Despite this fact, fertilizer application is still needed to improve its growth, quality of fibers and yield. The study revealed that the rates of fertilizer favorably affect the growth of SR pineapple grown in the (field) clay loam soil with mean bulk density of 1.20 g/cu cm and soil moisture content (32.70 percent). Moreover, the rates of application at 300-80-180 kg NPK/ha gave the bigger base circumference and greater number of leaves while the application of 100-40-60 kg NPK/ha gave the tallest and longest leaves per plant for pina fiber production.
