The aim of the study was to estimate the total lipids and cholesterol concentration in blood serum and egg yolk at 33 and 52 weeks of age as well as the dependence between these traits level and egg quality in hens of green-legged partridge of Polish breed. A high level of lipids in blood serum, low cholesterol concentration and relatively high content of HDL were found. The yolk lipids low concentration, cholesterol low level as well as relatively high HDL level were recorded. Relationships between the yolk cholesterol level and egg weight as well as yolk weight were not recorded. No significant positive correlation between yolk cholesterol as well as HDL level and concentration in blood serum was found
