The presented paper describes the present state of sulphur in biosphere of the Zamojszczyzna region (Poland) and presents the usefulness the model for prognosis of sulphur deficiency (MOPS), considering several agrochemical and natural factors. It can be stated that the Biosphere of Zamojszczyzna (the air, plants, soil, river water, spring and groundwater) is not polluted by sulphur. It was found that most of variables used in the model MOPS are significantly correlated. The found model for prognosing soil sulphur deficiency indicates with very high probability significant dependency of available sulphur on groundwater level and some other soil parameters
