Transformation of spatial structure of properties of the state treasury in Zlotow commune [Poland]

This paper presents the transformation of land ownership structure in the community of Zlotow (Poland) of the period 1990-2002 in the area of land economy and especially takes into consideration the farming sector. The results of the work show that during the last ten years considerable changes have taken place in the management of the land. Through the privatization of the land of the state Treasury, the structure of agriculture in the community of Zlotow was radically changed. The total number of farms has decreased by a half. Among these by a few hundred in the group of farms under 10 ha. The average area for a farm is 20.7 ha. Some marginal land has been recultivated by forestation and transferred to the community administration or a housing cooperative. The entire programme of restructuring the State Treasury Lands was largery based on the development strategy for the community of Zlotow
