A two years' pot experiment with buckwheat var. Kora was conducted. Nitrogen and potasium fertilization was differentiated. One part of pots from every nutritional object was isolated by a plastic net just before flowering. It was found that higher nitrogen fertilization had a significant effect on: (1) the duration of leaf area, (2) number of flowers, (3) number of seeds, (4) mass of seeds. Isolated plants gave about 24 percent lower seed yield in comparison to the control
