The experiments were done in at a farm in Stawy (Poland) which was specialized in geese fattening to their weight up to 6 kg. The geese were of the White Italian breed. The geese were kept in three flocks of 10,000 birds each, for 6 months (15 April-15 October). The economical analysis of geese keeping and feeding them with various share of grassland feed had been clone by calculation of the direct surplus for plant- and animal production. The analysed grassland (19.4 percent of total cropland) is of good fodder value it consists of plant communities of Poa pratensis, Festuca rubra and Dactylis glomerata types. The average crop of green matter was 52.7 t/ha. Economical analysis of fattening 10,000 geese using fodder from grassland has shown that this method yielded 129,700 PLN direct surplus
