Experiment on izoproturon disappearing rate (in Izoturon 500 SC) in soil, its diffusion into wheat shoots and influence on activity of chosen plant enzymes: catalase, peroxidase, acid and alkaline phosphatase, superoxide dismutase, and nitrate reductase, was conducted. Plants were sown on 1 kg soil samples (dusty clay, C organic content up to 2 percent, neutral reaction) into which izproturon was added at doses: I - field rate, II - 10 x I, III - 100 x I. Izoproturon content in soil and in plant, and activity of the enzymes were measured at 10., 20. and 30. day of experiment. Izoturon 500 SC used in III dose, after 15 days of experiment caused shrivel of the shoots. Further analysis was held on the soils with I and II dose. Stimulatory effect of isoproturon was observed on acid phosphatase, nitrate reductase and peroxidase activity, and inhibitory effect on alkaline phosphatase. In most of the cases the significant correlation was noted between izoproturon content in plant, rate of its disappearing in soil, and activity changes of enzymes in plant
