Floristic utilitarian and landscape aspects of the Kostrzyneckie Rozlewisko [Poland] plant cover

This study has been done in Stara Rudnica in the area of Kostrzyneckie Rozlewisko (Poland). As sampling sites the following areas were used: 1 - not utilized, 2 - mowed, 3 - used as pastures, which were located on river silt soil. The floristic analysis showed that the not utilized areas on swamps and wet or very wet sites were covered mostly by rush communities of the Carex gracilis, Glyceria maxima, or similar type, which present no agricultural value as pasture or meadows. The value of the sward from these areas was mediocre (Uvn=3.16-4.64) or poor (Uvn=1.68). The sward of moved grassland was varied and the value was mediocre (Uvn=5.59). Particularity of some of the communities of the pasture was expressed by a large share of dicot plants, including Papilionacean plants, which contributed to an improvement of the sward with Agrostis alba and that of Trifolium repens. The riches and peculiarites of species as well as the colour of the sward in moist habitats increased the natural and landscape valours of the Kostrzyneckie Rozlewisko
