Sediments after ore flotation which originated from enrichment processing of copper ores were deposited on Gilow (Poland) dumping site. The 25 composite samples of sediments from depth 0-20 cm were sampled from this area. The mechanical composition of sediments was substantially differentiated and the selected texture groups of sands, loams and silts were represented respectively by 11, 7 and 3 samples. Such differentiation of mechanical composition of the sediments was dependent on character of copper ore bearing rocks and mineral material (mainly sands) introduced on of dumping site during its reclamation. These sediments show the neutral or alkaline reaction, and in the most of the samples the content of CaCO3 is high what is dependent on kind and properties of copper ore bearing rocks rich in dolomites and limestone. The content of nitrogen in sediments is low and phosphorus and potassium medium. Moreover these sediments are characterized the substantial salinity, especially the samples with high content of clay fraction which affected sorption capacity
