[Sulphur in apple orchards and criteria of diagnostic of these components]
2006
Szwonek, E.,Instytut Sadownictwa i Kwiaciarstwa, Skierniewice (Poland)
The analyses of the samples have shown that the sulphur resources in the sampled layers of the soil and the apple tree leaves varied greatly. The lowest reserves of the organic sulphur fraction were found in the soils in the orchards of the Grojec region (Poland). The soil organic sulphur reserves in the diffrent regions were found to increase according to the sequence Nowy Sacz, Grojec, Warka, Busko and Sandomierz. The soil sulphate sulphur fraction available to trees was found to follow a similar sequence, except for the orchard soils in the Grojec region where the highest sulphate sulphur content appeared to be higher than in the Nowy Sacz and Warka regions
