At the broiler farms A, B and C in three independed production cycles lasting six weeks (42 days) were produced broilers Arbor Acres, Hybro and Isa-30. The day-old chicks were individually wingbanded and weighed every week till the 42nd day of age. Average body weight of day-old chicks for all strains was 40.97 g, and for six week broilers 1878.19 g. The regression coefficients (b) for all chicks varied from 0.805 (the first week) till 7.699 (the sixth week) and correlation coeficients (2) was the highest in the fourth week. It was concluded that from practical standpoint the starting and the final body weight of fattening chickens are not in so direct relation on the individual level, but they are on the group (flock) level.
