Quantitative traits of dressed carcasses of broilers from different rearing systems

With the aim to investigated the effect of the rearing systems on the selected quantitative traits of dressed broiler carcasses adequate experimental invetigations were conducted. The trial material used consisted of a total of 400 one-day-old chicks of the Ross 208 hybrid. The fattening of the broilers was organized in two different manners, as intensive and semi-intensive fattening. The results obtained point to the conclusion that in terms of the qualitative traits of the dressed carcasses, the use of the semi-intensive broiler rearing system can be justified.
