The results of chemical analysis for four new genotypes of flat-leaf parsley developed at the Centre for Vegetable Crops, Smederevska Palanka (Serbia) were shown in this paper. The chemical analysis of new line of flat-leaf parsley PPL-1 performed during the three-year period showed that the percentage of the dry matter content was higher by 8% than the standard cultivar Domaci Liscar. The content of minerals and sugar in the leaf of the new line was increased by 9% and 6%, respectively in relation to the standard cultivar. The line PPL-1 forms a thin, forked root and has a very dense rosette with over 50 leaves on medium compact stems. All observed genotypes had greater content of dry matter, sugar and minerals in leaf, than standard. The aim of this study was to test the quality of new flat-leaf parsley lines in order to develop new cultivars.
