The basic morphological and productive traits of Zetska Zuja [autochthonous sheep, Montenegro]

In this paper there has been presented Zetska Zuja, the sheep that is considered to be special autochthonous breed of Montenegrin sheep. The area of growing, appearance, body measures and body weight and influence of the breeding and feed conditions to size and other monitored features. The breeding area is Zetsko-Bjelopavlicka valley and Skadar lake basin, spreading from there to the seacoast and Albanian frontier. According to the results obtained Zetska Zuja is extremely good in responding to the breeding conditions and quality of feed. In good breeding conditions, with better feeding, it gives significantly better results.
